 Dietz Pledges to Deliver a “Triple A Rating” to the Office of the Circuit Court Clerk of Lake County

During his campaign kick-off event Saturday, August 13, 2011, attorney Gerald T. Dietz pledged that if elected, he would improve the primary duties of Access, Accuracy and Accountability within the functions of the Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court.

While addressing the attendees and hosts of the event; Mayor Jim Dietz (Round Lake), Mayor Jean McCue (Round Lake Park), Mayor Richard Hill (Round Lake Beach) and Mayor Kristina Kovarik (Gurnee), candidate Dietz stressed that “…measurable improvements in these key areas will ultimately lead to an enhanced level of customer service.”  Dietz further stated that he would update the current automation system in order to create greater access to case information while simultaneously supporting the County’s Integrated Justice effort.

A life-long resident of Lake County, Dietz has dedicated his life to serving people and his community.  Serving as a volunteer firefighter/paramedic for more than a decade, Dietz now provides the medical, legal and ethical training to many of our local area units.  In addition to serving as the President of the Board of Directors of the Round Lake Beach Cultural and Civic Center Foundation, his current law practice is concentrated in municipal law where he represents several local governmental bodies.

Gerald (Jerry) Dietz, age 42 of Round Lake, announced today that he would seek the Republican nomination for Clerk of the Circuit Court.

My name is Gerald (Jerry) Dietz I am seeking the Republican Party’s nomination for the Office of Circuit Court Clerk in Lake County.  The Clerk of the Circuit Court is the heart of the court system in any judicial circuit and we need someone who has dedicated their life to public service that can lead the Clerk’s office into the digital age.  I have dedicated my life to public service.  I am a lifelong Lake County resident and Republican and I will bring the Republican party’s conservative values and hard work ethic with me to this office.

I will revitalize the Clerk’s office by improving ACCURACY, ACCOUNTABILITY, ACCESS and CUSTOMER SERVICE.  When elected to the Office of Circuit Court Clerk I will modernize the office with digital updates including online access to court information, the ability to pay fines and court fees on line and the ability to file official court documents electronically.  Modernizing the office will provide a more efficient, more accurate and most importantly more accessible office to the residents of Lake County.

I have dedicated my life to serving the people.  I have practiced in all of the Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin Counties.  I spent nearly 10 years as a municipal prosecutor observing the Clerk’s Office on a day to day basis first hand.  I know what it will take to move the Lake County Circuit Clerk’s Office into the 21st Century.  Our next Circuit Court Clerk needs to be someone who has proven that they can serve the people or our great county.
